Satellite News Gathering is an evolving market place and IP-Uplinks is moving with the times.

Our growing fleet has been developed with flexibility in mind to enable IP-Uplinks to deliver industry-leading solutions for its valued customers with the utmost reliability.

IP-Uplinks currently operates two Digital SNGs using GigaSat 1.8 metre Ku Band and Advent 1.9 metre Dual Band (C/KU) systems.

A new KU Band SNG truck based on the Mercedes Benz Sprinter is based in Perth and a new lightweight SUV-mounted KU system is also operated throughout Australia as required.

A fifth system provides regular C Band international uplinks from a fixed location in Perth, Australia.

The SNG systems are available in single thread configuration or with full redundancy including generator and ups backup.

IP-Uplinks' systems can operate HD and SDI single and multiple channel DVB services and encoder cascading or multiplexing is available on request. Modulation techniques currently include QPSK and 8PSK and DVBS2 is available on request.The EBU standard, BISS encryption, is available on all of our transmission units.

Our equipment includes Scopus and EF Data Encoder/Modulators, Tandberg Encoders and Receivers, Leitch and IRT videoand audio distribution , ETM, Xicom and MCL amplifiers.

Amplifier power can be tailored to customer requirements from low power VSAT style solutions to broadcast services from 350 to 660 Watts.

Engineering support with broadcast experience is a hallmark of IP-Uplinks.

IP-Uplinks' SNG systems are registered for many key international satellite systems including:- IntelSat, AsiaSat, SES NEWSkies, Loral (Telstar), EutelSat, EuropeStar and Optus Australia.
